46-Year-Old Osmany Perera Suarez Injured in CR 101 Fatal Crash [Winkler County, TX]

1 Killed Another Injured in CR 101 Vehicle Crash

Winkler County, TX (May 27, 2024) – 46-year-old Osmany Perera Suarez of Laredo was injured following a CR 101 fatal crash Wednesday evening.

It was about 6:25 p.m. on May 22 when the fatal collision happened on Highway 302.

Investigators said 68-year-old James Dean Daniels of Midland was driving a 2022 Ford F-150 when he failed to yield the right of way at the stop sign and drove through the intersection of CR 101 and SH 302.

As a result, Daniels was hit by a westbound 2014 Peterbilt truck driven by Perera Suarez on SH 302.

The authorities declared Daniels deceased at the scene while Perera Suarez was transported to Wrinkler County Hospital in Kermit with minor injuries.

Officers are investigating this fatal collision.
