1 Dead in Pasadena DUI Accident on Washington Place and Sunset Avenue
PASADENA, CA (February 20, 2022) – Friday night, authorities arrested Oscar Munoz-Luna after a fatal crash on Washington Place and Sunset Avenue.
The incident happened at around 9:30 p.m. on Washington Place and Sunset Avenue.
According to reports, Oscar Munoz-Luna drove a green 1998 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck. As he traveled east on Washington Place, he hit a parked unoccupied vehicle. This incident happened on the south side of Washington Place, west of Sunset Avenue.
Thus, fire personnel and police responded to the scene. Then, paramedics transported a 55-year-old man to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, Oscar Munoz-Luna and his 40-year-old rear-seat passenger from Altadena sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Responders took both of them to the hospital.
Upon receiving treatment, authorities arrested Munoz-Luna on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter and felony driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. They booked him to the Pasadena City Jail with a $100,000 bail.
Meanwhile, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identity of the 55-year-old deceased victim from Pasadena.
