Oscar Madrigal Arrested in DUI Accident on Highway 168, Child Hospitalized [Fresno, CA]

4-Year-Old Minor Seriously Injured, Driver Oscar Madrigal Arrested in Fresno Crash

Fresno, CA (May 26, 2020) – Monday afternoon, an accident on Highway 168 left a 4-year-old child hospitalized, and Oscar Madrigal arrested for DUI.

CHP reports show the incident happened shortly after 5 PM. Oscar Madrigal drove a car that suddenly went off-road. Afterward, it rolled over and crashed near Gooseberry Lane.

The boy in the car did not wear his seat belt during the accident and was ejected from the vehicle.

Immediately, he was flown via helicopter to the Valley Children’s Hospital and due to the impact, remains seriously injured.

Police arrested Madrigal under the suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Authorities are still investigating other probable causes of the accident on Highway 168. CHP will release additional details once the investigation concludes.
