Oroville Woman Dies, Nicholas Hall Involved in State Route 99 East Vehicle Crash [Red Bluff, CA]

Red Bluff, CA (August 22, 2021) – On Sunday, 39-year-old Nicholas Hall of Anderson, was involved in a crash on State Route 99 East, wherein a 54-year-old Oroville woman died.

The fatal multi-vehicle crash took place at about 7:35 a.m. north of Los Molinos.

A 59-year-old Hayward man was driving a northbound 2009 Ford Focus on the freeway.

At the same time, Hall was southbound in a 2019 Isuzu. Behind Hall was the Oroville woman in a 2007 Nissan Sentra.

The Ford went into the southbound lane, directly into the path of Hall’s  Isuzu.

Hall tried to drift towards the southbound shoulder to avoid a collision. However, the Ford crashed with the Isuzu’s left side. 

The Ford driver continued to drive north within the southbound lane and crashed head on with the woman’s Nissan.

Unfortunately, both Ford’s and Nissan’s drivers suffered fatal injuries . The authorities pronounced them dead at the scene.

On the other hand, Hall and his passenger, 24-year-old Michael Zuhlke of Red Bluff, were not injured in the accident.

Meanwhile, the officers withheld the names of the two deceased pending notification of next of kin.
