One Killed in High-Speed Crash on Highway 18 near Snow Valley [RUNNING SPRINGS, CA]

Speeding Leads to Fatal Crash on Highway 18 in Running Springs

 
RUNNING SPRINGS, CA (May 30, 2019) – One person was killed following a high-speed crash Thursday afternoon in Running Springs.
 
The crash happened just after 4:00 p.m. on eastbound Highway 18 near the Snow Valley Mountain Resort.
 
According to the CHP, a vehicle was speeding with a black Ford sedan when it spun out and crashed into a tree.
 
Paramedics responded to the scene and found one occupant with major injuries. The patient was airlifted to a hospital, where the unidentified victim was later declared dead.
 
A coroner was immediately notified to conduct a full report.
 
It is unknown if drugs and/or alcohol have played a role in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
