One Killed in Head-On Crash at Gilman Springs Road and Bold Style Avenue [MORENO VALLEY, CA]

Morning Head-On Collision on Gilman Springs Road in Moreno Valley Kills 1 Driver

 
MORENO VALLEY, CA (May 20, 2019) – One person was killed following head-on collision Monday morning in an unincorporated area of Moreno Valley.
 
According to a CHP incident log, the deadly crash happened around 7:25 p.m. in the area of Gilman Springs Road and Bold Style Avenue. The vehicles involved were described as dark gray Dodge and a white sedan.
 
Officials were dispatched to the scene and found two people trapped in their vehicles. One of the vehicles had gone over the embankment. Vehicle parts and debris were spread across the two-lane roadway.
 
Firefighters and paramedics immediately began assessing the two drivers and sole occupants of their vehicles.
 
Sadly, one of the victims did not survive and was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
The second victim was eventually extricated from their vehicle and transported by ground ambulance to an area hospital with moderate injuries.
 
The crash temporary closed the Gilman Springs Road between Highway 79 and Alessandro Boulevard.
 
CHP officials are still investigating the cause of the crash and urging witnesses to come forward with information.
