One Killed in Car Crash on Highway 20 near Morine Ranch Road [CLEARLAKE OAKS, CA]

SUV Crashes into Tree on Highway 20 in Clearlake Oaks Killing One

 
CLEARLAKE OAKS, CA (February 15, 2020) – One person was killed following a car accident Saturday afternoon in Clearlake Oaks.
 
The crash happened around 4:52 p.m. on Highway 20, just east of the Clear Lake Keys near Morine Ranch Road.
 
A dark-colored SUV carrying three people was traveling eastbound on the highway when it crashed into a tree. The impact killed one of the occupants. The other two were extricated from the car and were airlifted to an area hospital in unknown conditions.
 
Authorities did not release the identities of those involved.
 
It is unclear if drugs and/or alcohol were contributing factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.
