One Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 395 at Swauger Creek Road

Late Afternoon Crash on Highway 395 in Bridgeport Ends in Fatality

 
BRIDGEPORT, CA (January 16, 2020) – At least one person was killed following a two-vehicle crash late Thursday afternoon in Bridgeport.
 
The crash happened around 5:38 p.m. on Highway 395 at Swauger Creek Road.
 
According to an initial report, one vehicle, possibly a pickup truck, slid off the roadway and collided with another another car.
 
CHP officials responded to the scene and located two vehicles in a ditch. Despite life-saving measures, officials confirmed at least one fatality as a result of the crash.
 
The identity of the victim was not immediately available pending notification of next of kin.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
