One Killed in Crash on South Carr Road [Renton, WA]

Two Vehicles Heavily Damaged after Fatal Collision near 98th Avenue

RENTON, WA (October 1, 2018) – A man was killed in a crash on South Carr Road, late Monday night. The victim was only identified as a man in his early 20s.

According to the Washington State Patrol troopers, the collision took place at approximately 11:00 PM, at the intersection of 98th Avenue.

Reports show that two vehicles collided on the rain-slickened roadway. The unidentified man was pronounced dead on site by first responders. His name, exact age, and place of residence were not disclosed. Another occupant was treated at the scene for injuries, and was later transported to a nearby hospital. No other information regarding the victims have been released at this time.

The cause of the accident was not yet determined, but it appears that wet roadways and speed was a contributing factor in the fatal accident. South Carr Road was closed for hours for clean up and preliminary investigation, but has since reopened.
