One Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on 880 Freeway at West A Street [HAYWARD, CA]

Afternoon 4-Vehicle Collision on 880 Freeway in Hayward, Injuries and Damage Reported

 
HAYWARD, CA (May 26, 2019) – At least one person was injured following a multi-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon in Hayward.
 
The crash happened around 4:12 p.m. on southbound 880 Freeway at West A Street on-ramp.
 
CHP officials responded to the scene and located a silver Toyota Yaris, a dark gray Infiniti FX135, a black Volkswagen Golf and a white Audi Q3.
 
One person was found lying on the ground with injuries from the crash. Paramedics took the injured patient to a hospital for proper treatment.
 
The Toyota sustained moderate rear-end damage and was towed away from the crash site along with the other vehicles.
 
There were no official reports stating what caused the crash or how it exactly transpired. An investigation is ongoing to identify possible contributing factors.
