Afternoon 3-Vehicle Crash on Mount Vernon Avenue in East Bakersfield Injures 1
BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 25, 2019) – One person was injured following a three-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in East Bakersfield.
The crash happened just before 4:00 p.m. at the intersection of Mount Vernon Avenue and Niles Street.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Chevrolet Suburban and two other vehicles collided, at least one of them was leaking fluid following the crash.
A total of eight occupants were involved, one of them suffered an arm injury. Paramedics took the injured patient to a hospital for proper treatment.
There were no descriptions of any vehicular damages but towing services were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.
All westbound lanes were blocked while officers worked on the scene.
An investigation is ongoing to determine who was at fault and to gather all the factors involved.
