Pickup Truck Overturns in Collision near Contra Loma Boulevard

ANTIOCH, CA (December 13, 2018) – One person was injured in a possible hit-and-run crash on westbound Highway 4, Thursday afternoon.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 1:13 PM, just east of Contra Loma Boulevard. Based on their report, a gray older pickup truck overturned, landed on its side and smashed into a silver vehicle that stopped in front of it. An additional report showed that a reckless driving white Cadillac caused the collision and left the scene afterwards.

An ambulance requested for needed medical attention. The paramedics reported that one person suffered injuries in the incident. Fortunately, the victim’s condition was said to be non-life-threatening.

The authorities ordered a clearing operation in the area. CHP officers were still conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the accident and help identify the hit-and-run suspect. Additional information has yet to be released.

If involved in an emergency situation like a car crash, do not attempt to flee the scene after the incident. Wait for the arrival of the authorities for an investigation and the paramedics for needed medical rescue.
