One Injured in Big Rig Crash on South Elwood Street [Los Angeles, CA]

Person Hospitalized, Big Rig Overturned in Crash on 10 Freeway and South Elwood Street

 
Los Angeles, CA (January 29, 2021) – On Friday, one person was injured when a big rig overturned in a crash on South Elwood Street.
 
The 10 Freeway accident happened at about 3:36 a.m. near Santa Fe Avenue in downtown LA.
 
Apparently, emergency crews responded to the 1300 block area for a rollover crash. A big rig crashed and hang over the edge of the freeway.
 
Subsequently, the vehicle caught fire and threatened a nearby commercial building.
 
Authorities created a larger fall zone because of some slipping visible portion of the rig.
 
Meanwhile, police closed all eastbound lanes of the 10 Freeway between Alameda Street and Santa Fe Avenue. Also, a SigAlert was issued.
 
Furthermore, responders looked at two other people for any possible injuries.
 
Lastly, authorities requested equipment to the scene to help pull the big rig back onto the road and finally remove it.
