One Hospitalized after Two Separate Accidents on Highway 16 [Capay, CA]

Two Separate Collisions Reported near Country Road 71

 
CAPAY, CA (December 8, 2018) – One person was hospitalized after two separate accidents on eastbound Highway 16, Saturday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 4:42 PM, just west of Country Road 71. Based on their report, the first incident involved two full-sized pickup trucks that collided head-on. The second incident involved an unidentified vehicle that was recovered in a ditch. No other details were released, but the two cases were related.
 
The paramedics were requested for needed medical attention. They sent one person to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center for treatment of unknown injuries. No other details were released regarding the victim’s condition.
 
Clearing and recovery operations were performed in the area. An investigation is on-going to determine the cause of both incidents.
