One Hospitalized after Multi-Car Crash on 80 Freeway [Vallejo, CA]

Three Vehicles Involved in Collision near Carquinez Bridge

VALLEJO, CA (January 1, 2019) – One person was hospitalized after a multi-car crash on eastbound 80 Freeway, Tuesday afternoon.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 12:16 PM, near the Carquinez Bridge. Based on their report, three vehicles were involved in the incident. It was not yet determined what circumstance led to the pile-up.

The paramedics were called for needed medical attention. They sent one motorist to the hospital for treatment of injuries. The condition of the victim was said to be non-life-threatening.

The commotion closed the No. 2, 3 and 4 lanes. A clearing operation was conducted in the area. The cause of the collision is currently under investigation, and additional information will be disclosed to the public, once it becomes available.
