DUI Driver Arrested After 2-Car Crash Near 80 Freeway

 
RENO, NV (September 5, 2019) – One person became hospitalized after a DUI accident on 580 Freeway northbound on Thursday afternoon.
 
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the collision happened near 80 Freeway just before 2:15 PM. The report showed that two vehicles became involved in the incident.
 
The paramedics took one person to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
 
The northbound lanes of 580 Freeway north at the 80 Freeway interchange temporarily blocked while authorities conducted rescue and clearing operations.
 
Police arrested a driver under suspicion of impairment. In addition, an investigation is currently on-going. However, police have not released additional information at this time.
