Guadalupe Padillaperez Arrested for DUI Crash on 5 Freeway

 
Castaic, CA (November 27, 2020) – On Friday, a man in his mid-20s died and four were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on the 5 Freeway.
 
The Castaic DUI accident was reported at about 2:51 a.m. south of Templin Highway.
 
When authorities arrived, they pronounced the man dead at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, four people were reported injured wherein three of them were trapped in the vehicle. They are in critical condition.
 
Police said four vehicles, including a big rig, were involved in the incident.
 
Later reports reveal that 22-year-old Guadalupe Padillaperez was drunk driving, and drove a 2016 Ford Focus south into oncoming traffic on northbound Interstate 5.
 
He then collided with a 2019 Honda Accord carrying the four individuals mentioned prior.
 
Police arrested Padillaperez arrested for vehicular manslaughter DUI with gross negligence, and is being held on 200k bail.
 
Furthermore, the CHP closed lanes numbers 1, 2, and 3 of the northbound Golden State Freeway in the crash area.
