One Dead after Folsom Fatal Bicycle Accident

 
FOLSOM, CA (June 4, 2019) — One person suffered fatal injuries following a bicycle crash with a car in Folsom on Monday morning, June 3.
 
According to the police, the accident took place near the intersection of Willard Drive and Iron Point Road.
 
Authorities received a 911 call at about 6:24 a.m. regarding a crash involving a vehicle and a bicycle, Folsom police Officer Andrew Graham stated.
 
Rescue crews responded to the scene where the bicyclist was pronounced dead.
 
The crash is still under investigation. Police said that the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
 
Officers shut down the intersection on Monday morning but reopened around noon.
