Fatal Semi-Truck Accident on Highway 318 in Crystal Springs
CRYSTAL SPRINGS, NV (June 24, 2019) – An unidentified driver was killed following a semi-truck accident on Highway 318, near Alamo.
The incident unfolded around 5:30 a.m., on Highway 318. Dispatchers arrived to the area near Alamo shortly after.
According to reports, the tractor-trailer hauling granite stone was on its way to Idaho from Southern California at the time.
Officers also say the semi-truck overturned and spilled its load, closing the highway for nine hours.
Unfortunately, a 25-year-old relief driver, asleep in the truck, died. The driver suffered serious injuries and sought treatment at a Las Vegas hospital.
The truck belongs to a company from Rialto, Calif., say reports.
