One Airlifted after Multi-Car Crash on Point Reyes Petaluma Road

 
PETALUMA, CA (June 22, 2019) – One sustained critical injuries after a crash on Point Reyes Petaluma Road, Saturday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place in front of French Marin Cheese Factory. It happened at approximately 11:55 AM. Based on an initial report, three vehicles involved in the pile-up sustained damages. However, little information has been given regarding how the accident happened or who was involved.
 
A helicopter arrived for needed medical attention. Paramedics transported one person by air to Memorial Hospital Neighborhood for treatment of injuries. The paramedics described the patient’s condition as critical with possible broken ribs.
 
Both lanes of the road closed while rescue and clearing operations took place in the area.
