One Badly Injured in Crash on Van Buren Boulevard and Tamra Lane [RIVERSIDE, CA]

Two-Car Crash on Van Buren Boulevard in Riverside

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (August 1, 2019) – One person was badly injured following a two-vehicle crash on Van Buren Boulevard Thursday evening in Riverside.
 
The crash happened at 7:07 p.m. on Van Buren Boulevard, just between Tamra Lane and Holcomb Way. CHP officials responded to the scene and located a Lexus and a sedan, one of them had flipped over. One occupant suffered major injuries as a result of the accident.
 
Paramedics transported the badly injured patient to Riverside Community Hospital for treatment. The identity and condition of the victim were not immediately available.
 
Both vehicles were towed away for evidence.
 
All eastbound lanes were closed while the rescue and clearing operations were being conducted.
 
The specific cause of the crash and who may be at fault remain under investigation.
