Omar Cisnero-Ramirez Detained Following Wrong-Way DUI Wreck on Highway 101 Near Westside Road

 
HEALDSBURG, CA (January 15, 2019) – Five people suffered minor to major injuries Sunday morning in a wrong-way DUI crash on Highway 101 near Westside Road.
 
According to a news release, the three-car accident happened just before 1 a.m. on the southbound side of the highway. California Highway Patrol dispatchers responded to a 911 call around 12:55 a.m. about a wrong-way motorist heading northbound in the southbound lanes of the highway.
 
Moments later, a report came in indicating that the wrong-way driver crashed his 2016 Ford Focus into a 2015 Volkswagen Beetle and a 2018 GMC Sierra pickup truck, both of which were traveling in the southbound lanes.
 
The Forestville woman operating the Volkswagen suffered major injuries and was subsequently hospitalized at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
 
The man driving the GMC suffered minor injuries, as well as his two passengers. All three patients were treated at Sutter Hospital.
 
Omar Cisnero-Ramirez, of Healdsburg, was identified as the wrong-way driver who suffered major injuries. He was arrested after being treated at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. The 37-year-old man was booked into Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of DUI causing injury.
