Fatal Car Accident on the 5000 Block of Black Lake Boulevard Southwest in Thurston County
OLYMPIA, WA (April 14, 2018) – A fatal accident took place on the 5000 block of Black Lake Boulevard Southwest, on Saturday night in Thurston County.
According to the initial investigation and witness statements, a vehicle was traveling south on Black Lake, when it attempted to pass to the left of a car that was slowing for traffic and turning into a driveway.
The car that attempted to pass traffic then went over the double yellow lines and struck a northbound vehicle head-on. Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and pronounced the driver of the southbound car, dead at the scene.
Two passengers sitting in the southbound vehicle, and two other people in the second car involved, sustained non-life threatening injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and evaluation.
There is no information on the people involved in the fatal collision. No further details have been disclosed to the public at this time.
