1 Injured and 1 Arrested after Napa Car Accident on Imola Avenue
NAPA, CA (January 20, 2020) – A 26-year-old officer sustained injuries in a DUI car accident on Imola Avenue at Maxwell Bridge on January 15.
According to reports, an alleged drunk driver rear-ended Napa Police Department community service officer Thayla Garcia. The incident happened at 7:00 p.m. while Thayla Garcia sat in her 2016 Ford pickup with activated rear amber lights. The Napa Police also revealed that Garcia deployed road flares.
Garcia received treatment for her injuries at Queen of the Valley Medical Center and got released.
Meanwhile, authorities arrested the involved driver who traveled west, 34-year-old Haley Mackenzie Murphy of Napa. They arrested her for felony DUI and for driving on a suspended license. The CHP also revealed that Murphy drove a 2017 Honda Accord.
