OAKHURST, CA – 2 Drivers Injured in Head-On Crash Near Coarsegold and Fresno

2 People Hurt Following Oakhurst Head-On Collision

 
OAKHURST, CA (December 6, 2018) – Two drivers suffered major injuries in a head-on collision near Coarsegold and Fresno.
 
The two drivers were treated at Valley Hospitals with major injuries. California Highway Patrol officers say a 43-year-old man believed to be under the influence veered into the oncoming traffic lanes and collided with a 65-year-old woman traveling in the opposite direction.
 
The man was trapped in his vehicle and had to be extricated from the passenger side door. Officials determined that the driver was under the influence and was placed under arrest for felony DUI.
 
Both patients suffered broken bones among other undisclosed injuries.
 
Driving while under the influence is never a good idea. If you decide to drink, remember to contact a taxi or a sober friend to bring you home instead. Driving while impaired can lead to trouble and road accidents. Remember this the next time you decide to have a drink.
