Hit-and-Run Driver Arrested after Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Vineland Avenue
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA (April 26, 2018) – A deadly hit-and-run pedestrian accident took place on the intersection of Victory Boulevard and Vineland Avenue, late Thursday night.
Just after 11:00 PM, an unidentified man was walking at the intersection, when struck by a utility truck. The vehicle fled from the scene, leaving the critically injured man in the road.
Police officials and emergency personnel arrived at the crash site and pronounced the man dead on the scene. According to the Los Angeles Valley Traffic Bureau, the driver returned to the scene two hours later, and was arrested on felony hit-and-run charges. No further information has been released on the fatal accident.
Neither person has been identified at this time, while authorities continue their investigation.
