Two People Injured in Accident on Burbank Boulevard and Agnes Avenue
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA (February 28, 2018) – A civilian driving a Mini Cooper and a LAPD motorcycle officer were both injured in a collision on Burbank Boulevard and Agnes Avenue on Wednesday morning.
According to Sgt. David Delgado of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division, the LAPD officer was driving westbound on Burbank at around 8:01 AM. The driver of the Mini Cooper was heading eastbound and turned left on to Agnes Avenue at the same time.
The Mini turned in front of the motor officer and the two vehicles collided. Sustaining injuries, the officer was transported to a local hospital but was reportedly in stable condition, while the other party suffered minor injuries. Valley Traffic Division officers are still conducting an investigation on the crash, but Delgado stated that alcohol and drugs are not suspected to be involved in the collision.
When turning at an intersection, make sure to properly yield for oncoming traffic and look for cars, pedestrians, or other cyclists crossing the road. By driving safely and with careful attention, unnecessary accident can be prevented on the road.
