SANTA ANA, CA (July 19, 2020) – On Friday night, Norman Kent died in a hit-and-run crash on Harbor Boulevard in Santa Ana.
 
The authorities received several reports of a man lying on the road at about 9:25 p.m. The incident happened on Harbor Boulevard and McFadden Avenue.
 
When the Orange County Fire Authority paramedics arrived, they tried to treat the person. However, he succumbed to his injuries before he could be transported to a hospital.
 
Meanwhile, an Orange County Coroner’s officer revealed the identity of the deceased as 81-year-old Norman Kent of Garden Grove. At this time, the autopsy hasn’t been performed on the victim’s body.
 
Moreover, the detectives suspect that Norman Kent stood on the center median of McFadden Avenue near Harbor Boulevard. However, a white Jeep Cherokee hit him and fled the scene, heading west.
 
According to Santa Ana Police Commander Manny Moreno, the SUV would have probable front-end damage.
