Road Closed after Malibu Accident on Las Flores Canyon Road and Gorge Road

MALIBU, CA (January 31, 2021) – Saturday afternoon, a non-injury crash on Las Flores Canyon Road and Gorge Road happened.

The incident occurred at 2:07 p.m. on Las Flores Canyon Road at Gorge Road, said Dispatch Supervisor Melanie Flores of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

According to reports, a propane tanker lost control of its brakes as it comes down a hill. Then, it hit a hillside and rolled over in the Malibu area.

As a result, authorities shut down Las Flores Canyon Road between Pacific Coast Highway and Hume Road. They closed the road to let crews remove the propane from the tanker and upright the vehicle.

Also, the CHP initiated a Sigalert that closed all northbound and southbound lanes.

By 7:55 p.m., the road reopened.
