Noah Leyman of New Jersey Killed in Tractor Crash on US 287 [Potter County, TX]

Potter County, TX (June 6, 2023) – On Sunday, Noah Leyman, 22, of Newton, New Jersey, died, while his passenger, Jurnee Scott, 22, of Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, was injured in a tractor crash on US 287.

It was about 2:55 a.m., when a 2022 Hyundai Sonata driven by Leyman was northwest on the freeway.

At the same time, a 2018 Freightliner truck tractor driven by Firdavs Kubaev, 33, of Mason, Ohio, was towing a semi-trailer southeast in the northbound lane.

The truck struck the Sonata causing major damages to both vehicles.

Unfortunately, Leyman died at the scene of the collision. His passenger, Scott, was airlifted to Northwest Texas Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Kubaev and his passenger were not injured in the traffic crash on US 287.

Officers are investigating.
