SANTA CLARA, CA (February 2, 2021) – On Monday, no one sustained serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash on San Thomas Expressway and Monroe Street.
 
According to Santa Clara police, they received the first report of a pedestrian crash. The report said that it happened on San Tomas Expressway and Monroe Street.
 
Then, responders on the scene realized that no pedestrian was involved in the crash. They clarified that the collision involved two cars.
 
Moreover, reports revealed that the person who reported the incident mistook a driver checking the damages on his vehicle as a pedestrian that was hit by the car.
 
The incident is described as minor and no serious injuries were reported.
 
Authorities closed the northbound San Thomas Expressway from 8:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. to give way to the investigation.
