SAN FRANCISCO, CA (December 27, 2020) – Saturday afternoon, there were no injuries in a fiery accident on Cesar Chavez Street and Highway 280.
 
The crash involving a Recology truck happened around 8:20 a.m. on Cesar Chavez Street. According to reports, the garbage truck had a mechanical problem. Then, it caught fire on the Cesar Chavez Street offramp from northbound Interstate Highway 280.
 
Fortunately, the driver managed to get out safely and the San Francisco firefighters put off the blaze.
 
Meanwhile, the authorities shut down the ramp until around 2:00 p.m. to let Caltrans crews clean up the oil spill.
