ATWATER, CA (October 30, 2020) – Tuesday night, a big rig accident on Highway 99 and Atwater Boulevard resulted in no injuries.
 
The CHP officers came to the crash scene at about 9:20 p.m. According to reports, it happened on Northbound Highway 99, just south of the Atwater Boulevard exit.
 
When the officers arrived, they found the big rig. Reports revealed that the big rig carrying Arrowhead Sparkling water lost control and went off the road. Afterward, it crashed into a guard rail and several trees.
 
Meanwhile, the big rig driver said that a black sedan drove past him on the shoulder. The vehicle reportedly clipped him and caused him to lose control. Moreover, another big rig driver said that the same vehicle hit him. CHP Officer Zuniga confirmed that the sedan driver fled the crash scene.
 
On the other hand, Hazmat crews came to the scene due to a diesel and oil spill. Furthermore, the authorities confirmed that the crash didn’t result in any injury.
 
The authorities urged anyone with information about the crash to contact the California Highway Patrol at 209-356-6600.
