Nicole Marks Dead, 3 Injured in South Los Angeles Car Crash on Main Street
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (July 4, 2019) – A mother died while sleeping with her daughter after a car crashed into an apartment on Main Street.
The incident occurred on July 3 after 5:00 a.m. on Main Street and 87 Place. According to reports, the car struck the wall where her bed was placed.
Nicole Marks and her 4-year-old daughter both suffered injuries. Marks later succumbed to her injuries.
However, the child is in stable condition with minor injuries.
Firefighters came to the scene and freed the 59-year-old female driver and a 55-year-old male adult from the car. They both sustained critical injuries.
“The doors, they were shut, they were stuck, you couldn’t open them, the door handle broke off,” witness John Irias said.
The collision remains under investigation.
