Clovis, CA (December 29, 2020) – On Sunday, police arrested 42-year-old Nicholis White in a DUI police chase on Bullard Avenue and Highway 168.
 
The incident happened before midnight when the officers responded to a report of a reckless driver.
 
Police said White refused to stop for the authorities. So, they initiated on a chase that ended when officers stopped the vehicle with a PIT maneuver.
 
“Once that vehicle was stopped, it then tried to ram a police vehicle, where it did make contact with the vehicle, causing a significant amount of damage to the police car,” said Sgt. Jim Koch.
 
Additionally, authorities said White then fought with two officers and bit one of them.
 
As a result, the authorities took him into custody. He faces several felonies, including assault with a deadly weapon and driving under the influence.
