2 People Fatally Injured in Collision near Three Lakes Road Overpass
SNOHOMISH, WA (June 11, 2018) – Two people were killed Monday morning after their vehicles collided head-on near Three Lakes Road overpass. The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victims as 27-year-old Nicholas Ramon of Seattle and 55-year-old Annette Duncan of Everett.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision took place at about 10:00 PM on Highway 2. A westbound truck, driven by Ramon, was attempting to cross over the center line when it struck Duncan’s van head-on.
The impact of the collision caused him to crash into another vehicle that was following the van. Both Ramon and Duncan were pronounced dead at the scene, while the five occupants in the third vehicle were reportedly unharmed.
Troopers stated that they have not determined the main cause of this deadly collision, but the deaths were already ruled as accidents. Affected areas were also temporarily shut down for several hours to make way for the state patrol’s investigation. No other information is available to the public at this time.
