3 People Hospitalized in Solo-Vehicle Accident on Lone Oak Road
Longview, WA (May 10, 2022) On Sunday, 21-year-old Nicholas Krusmark and 23-year-old Clayton Carney, both from Longview, died in a DUI crash on Pacific Way.
According to the Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), the fatal solo-vehicle crash happened at around 12:45 a.m. at Lone Oak Road.
Officials say that the 2010 Scion TC Coupe had 5 occupants of which 2 died and 3 sustained injuries.
Deputies say that alcohol, marijuana use, and speed are believed to be factors in the accident.
Investigations reveal that the Scion was westbound on Pacific Way at a high rate of speed. Then, it slides through a curve on wet pavement.
Afterward, it crossed the opposite lane, left the road, jumped, and hit a large tree on the passenger side.
Reports say paramedics took the 20-year-old female driver from Chehalis to Southwest Medical Center via LifeFlight.
Meanwhile, rescuers took two other passengers, both 20 years old from Longview, St. John Medical Center.
