Police Investigate a DUI Crash on Northeast 159th Street in Hockinson

Hockinson, WA (July 12, 2021) – Sunday night, a 35-year-old Nicholas A.W. Crown of Hockinson sustained injuries after a DUI crash on Northeast 159th Street.

Subsequently, police arrested the suspected driver, a 20-year-old  Jaxon L. Jondahl of Battle Ground, and booked him into the Clark County Jail on one count of vehicular assault due to the extent of the victim’s injuries.

Moreover, CCSO said additional misdemeanor charges were referred and the proximate cause of the crash appeared to be excessive speed and impairment of Jondahl behind the wheel.

The Hockinson crash happened at 10 p.m. on July 11,  in the 17200 block of Northeast 159th Street.

Officers found a silver 2009 Chevrolet HHR and a 1995 Toyota Camry on its top in the roadway.

Reportedly, the Camry had turned right onto NE 159th Street from NE 172nd Avenue. The HHR traveled east on NE 159th Street and rear-ended the Camry at significant speed.

EMS took both drivers to the hospital.

Further investigation is ongoing.
