Antelope Scooter Accident Kills Teen

Antelope, CA (September 20, 2023) – At about 10:30 p.m. on Monday, 14-year-old Nathan Gebreamlak was killed in a Don Julio Boulevard accident.

The CHP officers said Gebreamlak was riding his scooter when he entered the road in front of a 2014 Range Rover northbound through the intersection with Poker Lane.

Sadly, the teen was struck by the Ranger Rover driven by a 50-year-old Antelope man.

Responding medical team took Gebreamlak to Mercy San Juan Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.

Moreover, the Antelope High School confirmed Gebreamlak was a student there and sent the following statement to parents:

“Nathan Gebreamlak was a student of ours and a member of the Antelope community. Student tragedies are absolutely heart-wrenching and remind all of us how truly fragile and precious life is. Our hearts, thoughts and prayers go out to the Gebreamlak family during this time of sorrow.”

CHP officers do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
