Natalia Moreno Dead in Indio Tree Crash

 
INDIO, CA (March 15, 2019) – A 21-year-old Coachella woman died following a crash on 10 Freeway near Indio on Wednesday, March 13.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred shortly after 1:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of the freeway, east of Jackson Street.
 
The victim, identified as Natalia Moreno, was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Spark when her car veered to the right of the freeway for unknown reasons. The car collided with a tree and then came to a stop on the dirt shoulder, CHP said.
 
According to the Riverside County Coroner’s office, Moreno succumbed to her injuries at 1:52 a.m.
 
Authorities said that she had her seatbelt on during the collision. There was no indication that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. CHP is still investigating the incident.
