The fatal crash happened just before 9:00 p.m. along the northbound lanes of Highway 29. Dispatchers arrived near the Napa Premium Outlets shopping center, just south of 1st Street soon after.
Authorities said the male pedestrian was walking on the shoulder of the northbound lanes when he was struck by a 2001 GMC. The vehicle was allegedly driven by a 51-year-old Concord man.
