Forest Knolls Woman Dies after Car Rolls Down Embankment in Marin County

 
MARIN COUNTY, CA (November 25, 2019) – A woman died following a rollover crash Monday afternoon in unincorporated Marin County.
 
The fatal crash happened around 2:28 p.m. in the 8800 block of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard within Samuel P. Taylor State Park.
 
According to the sheriff’s office, a vehicle went approximately 30 feet down an embankment and overturned. It then crashed into a tree and came to rest near Lagunitas Creek.
 
Responding firefighters found the female driver dead inside the vehicle. The victim was identified as Nancy Dee Hechtman Jacobsen, 72, of Forest Knolls.
 
Sir Francis Drake Boulevard was closed for several hours as clean-up crews removed the wreckage.
 
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
