24-Year-Old Nalene Andrews Lost Her Life in DUI Crash on State Route 20

 
Spokane, WA (February 22, 2021) – On Saturday, 24-year-old Nalene Andrews of Cusick died, while police listed pending charges against 36-year-old Zachary King of Priest River in a DUI crash on State Route 20.
 
The fatal crash took place after 9 p.m. about 7 miles northwest of Newport.
 
Andrews was traveling east on State Route 20 when her vehicle crossed the center lane and struck an oncoming car head-on.
 
Unfortunately, authorities pronounced Andrews dead at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, officers took King, the driver of the other vehicle, along with his passenger 48-year-old Darci King to Newport Hospital.
 
Apparently, both Andrews and Zachary King were not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. Darci King was wearing a seat belt.
 
The Washington State Patrol said alcohol or drugs were involved in the incident. They said charges are listed as pending against Zachary King.
