WHITTIER, CA (November 17, 2022) – On Wednesday, officers reported multiple injuries after a vehicle crash on Mills Avenue near Colima Road.
The incident happened at around 6:30 a.m. in the 10600 block of Mills Avenue near Colima Road.
According to Sheriff Alex Villanueva, a southbound SUV struck law-enforcement recruits who were jogging in the area. Then, the SUV collided with a light pole where it came to rest.
Moreover, officials confirmed that 25 people sustained injuries. The injured included five with critical injuries, four with moderate injuries, and 16 people who suffered minor injuries. Also, the SUV driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
