Lengthy Traffic Occurred Following Multi-Vehicle Collision on Interstate 405

 
Tukwila, WA (July 17, 2020)– On Tuesday morning, a total of six people were injured in a serious multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 405.
 
Emergency officials said they received a report of a serious crash that happened on July 14. Troopers and several emergency units responded to the scene just south of Exit 1 in the southbound lanes around 7:10 a.m.
 
At the scene, they found two vehicles that were upside down as a result of the collision. Subsequently, lengthy traffic followed in the southbound lanes of the freeway.
 
According to the report, all lanes have since reopened. However, the cause of the collision is still under investigation.
 
At around the same time, a separate incident of collision also occurred in the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 at NE 145th Street. The incident prompted the closure of all the lanes that caused a six-mile backup.
 
Furthermore, the lanes have since reopened for the traffic.
