Injuries Sustained in Collision on Glenwood Drive in Oxnard

OXNARD, CA (January 8, 2019) – Tuesday night, two victims sustained unknown injuries in a multi-vehicle car crash in Oxnard.

It was reported that a total of three vehicles were involved in accident at 7:29 PM in the intersection of Glenwood Drive and Oxnard Boulevard. Due to the collision, traffic was shut down for approximately two hours from both directions between Gonzales Road and Robert Avenue along Oxnard Boulevard.

Impact caused the power lines and traffic signals to shut off.

One of the cars rolled over which caused the occupant inside to be trapped and was later rescued by first responders. Two victims including the trapped occupant were transported to a nearby hospital for further medical evaluation. Status on their medical conditions has not been released.

There has been no further information released regarding the circumstances leading up to the incident at this time as the investigation continues.
