SANTA MARIA, CA (June 22, 2019) – Six vehicles were involved in a multi-vehicle car crash on the 101 Freeway Saturday morning.
 
According to the Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 5:00 AM on the southbound 101 Freeway at Donovan Road.
 
Initial reports stated that a vehicle was swerving before it crashed into another car. However, the events leading up are currently unclear. One of the vehicles went off the highway due to the impact. Also, first responders arrived shortly after the accident was reported. As a result, several victims were injured. There has been no update on their medical conditions.
 
In addition, traffic was also backed up for several hours as a result of the crash. Cleaning crews were also dispatched to the scene.
