Pinion Hills, CA (December 1, 2024) On Friday Morning, a horrifying multi-car crash on Highway 138 left several people hurt and hospitalized.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the disastrous five-vehicle crash on Highway 138 happened at about 2:04 a.m.

Reports say that the five-vehicle collision injured three people early Friday morning, with two requiring air transport to a hospital.

Authorities say that the crash occurred near Wintergreen Road. The vehicles involved included a green Lincoln Navigator, a Jeep (model unspecified), a black Cadillac (model unspecified), and two other unidentified vehicles.

California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers found two individuals trapped in their vehicles—a person in the Lincoln and another in the Jeep.

Emergency crews extricated both and called for two medical helicopters. Mercy Air #2 and Reach Air Medical #43 landed at the crash site and transported the injured individuals to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. A third person was taken to a hospital by ground ambulance.

The conditions of those injured remain unknown. Investigators have not yet determined the cause of the collision. The CHP Victorville Office is leading the investigation.
