1 Hurt in Bakersfield Hit-and-Run Accident on California Avenue and King Street

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (May 20, 2021) – Tuesday, a motorized scooter rider suffered injuries in a crash on California Avenue and King Street.
 
The hit-and-run accident occurred at the intersection of East California Avenue and South King Street.
 
When the officers arrived, they located an adult man down in the road with moderate to major injuries. According to the investigation, the man traveled east on East California Avenue on a motorized scooter. Then, a vehicle turned left in front of him.
 
Afterward, the car struck the scooter and fled the scene. The authorities described the vehicle as a light blue, 2009-2012 Nissan Versa, four-door hatchback with black rims. Also, they said that the vehicle may have damage to the rear passenger door and bottom of the driver door.
 
Furthermore, the authorities described the driver as a Hispanic man with a short fade and black or brown hair.
