Motorist Injured, Struck by Another Vehicle on Interstate 405

Bellevue, WA (February 20, 2021) On Thursday night around 10 p.m., a driver was injured in a vehicle crash on Interstate 405.

Authorities say initially, that the Seattle police (SPD) were chasing a suspect driver from Interstate 5, then onto Interstate 90 East.

Eventually, ending on  Interstate 405 in Bellevue.

The Washington State Patrol (WSP) Trooper Rick Johnson says that they picked up the chase as the suspect vehicle heads to Mercer Island and continues to travel east into Bellevue.

Furthermore, the suspect driver used Interstate 405 North as an exit, then tried to turn around as the chase reached SE 8th Street.

Unfortunately, he instead met a car going North and collided with it.

Authorities were finally able to arrest the suspect driver, troopers used bean bag guns to subdue the suspect motorist.

Meanwhile, the motorist on the northbound car is safe, and medics say he suffered minor injuries.

Lastly, Seattle police did not disclose the reason for the chase.
